Today I visited the exhibition of thé 50 Dutch artworks in history at Museum de Fundatie in Zwolle. I was impressed by ‘Lichte Stelle’ a work of Marijke van Warmerdam. In a video-loop she shows a boy from the back in front of a lake.

I loved the stories about the artworks and especially when the artist had undertaken an adventure to make the work. Reading the story behind the work makes the art more alive to me.
